Welcome to the Site Settings App, where you can manage all the major site settings in one place. This is yet another step to building an authentic website.
Not to waste time, let's move to your ‘Dashboard’ on the Left Panel and click the ‘Site Settings’ icon.
You'll find two sets of settings here: Basic and Code Injection.
Site Offline - Enable the Offline option if you don't want your site visitors to see your website until it's all set.
Password Protect - You can set password for the entire website with the help of the Password Protect feature and check how the Password Protected Site appears to your visitors from the System Pages Section on the Pages App.
If you are interested in the feature, Enable the Password Protect controller and simply enter the password in the Set Password field.
Sitename - As you can see, editing your Sitename along with how it looks like is possible through this App as well.
Site Name Separator in Titles - Another thing to look at is the “Site Name Separator in Titles” setting. You can select between “-”, “/” and “|” symbols as the separator.
Here and now, you can change the language you and visitors see in your website.
There are two language settings you can control separately:
- Language of the Edit mode
- Public Mode Language Detection
Language of the Edit mode - The edit mode language is what you see when you log in and edit your site, like the words in the Dashboard and Left panel. Note that we currently support 3 languages: English, Russian or Armenian, what's your choice?
Public Mode Language Detection - Whereas, the latter option, changes the built-in text visitors see, like dates, form field labels, and navigation controls according to Languages available in your website.
That being said, it automatically sets a default language for your visitors when they first open your website. The default language can depend either on the location (IP address) or browser's default language.
Timezone - You can also set your Timezone, which is automatically set in accounts upon website creation. It can be useful when working with Elements such as Countdown as the Timezone of your Website can affect the timing of your Elements.
Logo - The logo, obviously, is your website's main logo, while the Small one will be used for smaller screens like phones or tablets. To change it, move your mouse to the Logo/Small Logo area and click the ‘Change’ button.
Favicon - It is the tiny icon that appears on your browser tab next to the Site name.
Drag or browse the desired image and don't forget to click the ‘Save’ button after having made all the changes.
Mobile Touch Icon - Have you ever wondered on how to create a shortcut to a website on your iPhone/iPad?
Here's where the Mobile Touch icon comes in handy.
Similar to the Favicon, it is a file used for a web page icon on the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. This icon is used when someone bookmarks your web page or adds your web page to their home screen. Simply upload a PNG file and let's make it happen.
Here’s how it works:
Open up Safari and load a website and tap the bookmark icon.
At the bottom of the screen you'll see an ‘Add to home screen' icon.
If you managed to tap that button successfully, you'll have a few options such as choosing a name for the home screen icon.
Volia, we are done here.
But that's not the end. Zentap also allows adding HTML tags* going to the 'Code Injection' section.
Fill the appropriate fields with the desired tags and click ‘Save’.
For instance, you can easily integrate Facebook Pixel or implement the Google Analytics tracking ID here. All you need to do is create your Facebook Pixel or a Tracking ID and add it to Before <head> section respectively.
Please note, that it will go active once you've connected a Custom Domain to your Zentap Website.
